We’re pleased to share that 2027 election nominations will open on Tuesday, September 8, at 11:59 a.m. ET and remain open through Wednesday, October 14, at 11:59 a.m. ET.
The nomination period was intentionally designed to provide a meaningful participation window following major religious observances, supporting equitable access and engagement for members across diverse faith and cultural practices.
We encourage all members to plan ahead and take full advantage of the nomination period.
Important Record Date for 2027 Elections
Be advised that the record date is set in Article IX, Section 4.A.1 of the Bylaws: “The record date for determining members entitled to notice of and to vote in an election shall be 30 days prior to the meeting or action requiring a determination by the members.” Per the AOTA Bylaws, one must be an AOTA member as of January 1, 2027 (30 days prior to the start of the Bylaws vote) to be eligible to vote in the 2027 AOTA Elections starting February 3, 2027.

*Candidates for Board of Directors [President-Elect, Vice-President, Board Director, and DEIJAB Chair/Board Director] positions should plan to attend one of the “Evening with Board Candidates” webinars, which will be held on January 20 and January 21, 2027, from 8:00–9:00 pm ET.
