Important Record Date for 2026 Elections
Be advised that the record date is set in Article IX, Section 4.A.1 of the Bylaws: “The record date for determining members entitled to notice of and to vote in an election shall be 30 days prior to the meeting or action requiring a determination by the members.” Per the AOTA Bylaws, one must be an AOTA member as of January 5, 2026 (30 days prior to the start of the Bylaws vote) to be eligible to vote in the 2026 AOTA Elections starting February 4, 2026.
Save the Date!
The nomination period opens from Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11:59 am ET (just before noon) and closes promptly at 11:59 am ET (just before noon) on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Only complete nominations submitted through the online platform will be considered.
Online voting will be conducted from February 4, 2026, at 11:59 AM ET (just before noon) through February 25, 2026, at 11:59 AM ET (just before noon) with assumption of office on July 1, 2026.

- Must be currently serving, or have previously served, as an elected Representative, commission or committee chair, or Assembly official at the time of election.
- Must have completed at least two full years of service in the Assembly within the past eight years prior to the upcoming election.
Time Commitment Average: 10 to 15 hours per month.
